The Elementary Curriculum (Grades 1-5) at VIPS concentrates on several interconnected aims:<\/p>\n

To cultivate and build on the love of learning that exists in all our children at the beginning of life.<\/p>\n

To deepen children\u2019s understanding and appreciation of the amazing world that lies before them.<\/p>\n

To instill good habits of mind in our children `To help children develop the skills necessary for the next stages in their learning experiences.<\/p>\n

We continue the theme of an integrated curriculum with\u00a0S<\/strong>cience,\u00a0T<\/strong>echnology,\u00a0E<\/strong>ngineering,\u00a0A<\/strong>rt and\u00a0M<\/strong>athematics (STEAM) subjects playing a crucial role in Grades 1-5.<\/p>\n

These integrated activities align comfortably with the US Common Core State Standards (CCSS) for the Mathematics framework and the English Language and Arts (ELA) framework.<\/p>\n
