appoint a compassionate, competent, and committed school social worker to provide support to the school\u2019s Pastoral and Child Protection Teams by ensuring the safety and well-being of all school improvement journey to excellence.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h1><b>Job Description\u00a0<\/b><\/h1>\n<h1><b>1: School Social Worker Responsibilities:<\/b><\/h1>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Responsibilities of a school social worker include but are not limited to:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ensure students\u2019 personal and social development, innovation skills, and social responsibility are excellent;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Model visible leadership by being present and active throughout the day, tending to our students\u2019 well-being and community learning needs;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Provide students with clear behaviour expectations and ensure our system of rewards and sanctions promotes our vision, mission, and values;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Promote and maintain pastoral well-being in accordance with the rules and behavior policy of the school;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Support pastoral interventions that enable students to meet our high expectations;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Work with and support all staff with monitoring and intervention of student behavior;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Respond to the needs of all students with a sense of urgency;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Liaise with relevant staff to ensure all students\u2019 needs are met;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ensure the classroom climate is well maintained and checked regularly;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Supervise students on visits, trips and out of school activities;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Create and maintain reports and records as requested by the school;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Attend meetings \/ training and carry out administrative tasks and duties as specified on the academy calendar;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Undertake relevant training and work as part of the wider Pastoral and Child Protection Teams;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Arrange, support and attend parental and staff meetings as appropriate;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Represent the school internally and externally as required;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Carry out any other reasonable duties as requested by the Principal\/Vice Principal or Head of Section.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h1><b>2: Professional Skills and Experience<\/b><\/h1>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A bachelor\u2019s degree (or higher) in social work is an essential requirement for this position, as well as a license and certification to practice social work.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Applicants should also be able to demonstrate recent and relevant experience of:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Experience as a\u00a0 school social worker (2 years or more);<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Compassion and empathy for students;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Professionalism and discretion;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Continuous professional development;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Effective involvement and engagement with parents;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Behaviour management and child protection;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Knowledge of the UAE school systems and culture;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Experience using eSIS.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h1><b>3: Personal Skills and Attributes:<\/b><\/h1>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Applicants should:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li
